Swiss CNC Programmer

Pay Range: $35–$50/hour (DOE)
Location: Santa Maria, CA

• Program, set up, and operate Swiss CNC machines (Star, Citizen, Tsugami, or similar) to manufacture precision components, ensuring tight tolerances and high-quality output in a fast-paced production environment in Santa Maria, CA.
• Develop and edit CNC programs using G-code and CAM software (such as Mastercam or Esprit), optimizing cycle times, tooling selection, and machine efficiency for Swiss-style turning operations.
• Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T specifications to produce complex parts accurately, performing in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and perform routine maintenance, including tool changes, offsets, and minor machine repairs, to minimize downtime and maintain consistent production flow.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve processes, reduce scrap, and support continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining safety and quality standards.
